Melissa Olsen | Managing Director

Melissa Olsen partners with founders and leadership teams to build high performing go-to-market organizations.

She focuses on placing foundational executives and key hires across sales, marketing, and customer success, particularly in early stage and scaling SaaS companies. Her work centers on identifying operators who can step into ambiguity, build from zero, and drive immediate impact.

Melissa has supported the buildout of go-to-market teams for high growth companies including Otter.ai, where she helped place critical hires that contributed to scaling revenue and team structure. She is known for her ability to consistently surface high quality, under the radar talent and align searches tightly to a company’s stage and growth objectives.
Her approach is hands on and tailored, with a focus on speed, precision, and long-term fit. She has completed more than 100 searches across both domestic and international markets.

Prior to joining BlueOutlier, Melissa was a successful sales executive in the health tech sector, bringing a strong commercial lens to her work and a deep understanding of what it takes to perform in high growth environments.
